"Sure," Shoneah agreed, smiling. With a glance at both of the siblings, just to make sure that they were both ready, she called out, "Go!"

Andarien had been thinking, trying to come up with a strategy in the little time he had, but as soon as the word was out of Shoneah's mouth, instinct took over.

"Both of you, use your speed!" he commanded them. "Dash, Flame Body, Body Slam! Zeus, Quick and Double!"

He hoped, in the back of his mind, that his use of shortened attack names wouldn't prevent his Pokemon from understanding him, but he had confidence that they would be fine. That was how they practiced, after all.

Miyuki had also practiced with her Pokemon, shorter versions of the Pokemon's attacks, but her instructions were still a bit longer than her brother's.

"Ryo to Dash, Quick and Bite! Suki to Zeus, Wind!"

She hoped with Ryo still remembered his tactic of biting ankles from his tussle with Zeus. Also Ryo's size gave him a slight advantage around Dash if he was quick enough. If being the main word.

The an unnatural wind that smelled slightly of flowers blew through as Suki called up her Fairy Wind. Andarien had made his orders the same time as Miyuki, so she hadn't realized that Dash would use Body Flame. Though when Ryo realized that fire was in his future, he made a u-turn to the water.

Andarien saw Ryo's abrupt u-turn and reacted immediately.

"Zeus, Ryo!" he ordered crisply. "Dash, Suki!"

With Ryo going for the water, Zeus would be far more effective than Ponydash - and with Suki so much bigger than Ryo, Dash's physical attacks would do much better.

Ponydash pushed through the wind and charged towards Suki, gathering speed quickly. Zeus was slowed slightly by the wind, but he chased after Ryo as quickly as his legs would take him - faster than most of the other Eeveelutions, though of course far slower than Dash.

"Suki Dazzle! Ryo... Quick!" Miyuki hesitated for a moment on the last command.

The way Zeus was so static with electricity at the moment and his fur was quite spiky made Miyuki wary but all of Ryo's attacks were close contact attacks. She couldn't switch the two, because her brother would just switch them again. Unless she had Suki cover for Ryo, but that would leave her open to PonyDash.

Suki growled because clearly she hadn't summoned up her fairy wind strongly enough. Shaking out her ribbons she suddenly burst into a bright light filled with pink sparkles that headed at PonyDash's direction. The sparkles would cause damage, which was really weird to Miyuki when she first saw the attack, but it was magic and she wasn't going to fully question how in the heck that worked.

Or why everything was pink.

Andarien chose to stay quiet and let the Pokemon decide for themselves what they would do.

Speed wasn't always the answer, and Dash let out a whinny of protest as the pink sparkles hit him full force. He reared up, neighing, and lowered his head and pointed his horn at Suki. A tornado of flame burst from his horn, swirling towards the Sylveon as quickly as he had been running.

Zeus used Wild Charge to up the volts crackling through his fur and pick up even more speed, lowering his head to slam his body into Ryo at full strength.

Ryo was also learning that speed wasn't everything as he couldn't stop mid attack and barrelled into Zeus and then getting knocked back by Zeus' attack with additional recoil of running into Zeus' attack. This landed Ryo back into the water.

Meanwhile Suki was trying her darnest to move out of the way, but it was a large flame, but she couldn't quite fully move out of the way. She did however, attempt to send another wave of sparkles at Dash's face.

Miyuki didn't say anything, but she kept a close eye on Ryo, who was being drenched by the incoming waves. She worried he was too hurt, but Ryo, true to his stubborn nature attempted to get up. And then, he began to glow.

The kinetic rebound of impact with Ryo stopped Zeus in his tracks, saving him from a soaking. While Ryo was splashing in the water, he rolled in the sand to build up the friction in his fur once more.

The pink sparkles were partially consumed by the flame, but also served the purpose of dampening the flame slightly, which meant that neither attack hit at full strength.

Without missing a beat, Dash began his next attack: Inferno. It was one of his strongest fire attacks, one that he rarely had the occasion to use.

It was for good reason Dash rarely used that particular attack, the flame would be very intense and there was little to no way of dodging that unless Suki suddenly gained the ability to fly. So she did the only thing she could think of doing, she 'quick attack' to the water. She probably wouldn't be able to out run the flame, but at least she wasn't going to be in the blunt of the attack.

Meanwhile the glowing stopped, Ryo was no longer an eevee, but a Vaporeon. As he blinked the light out of his eyes, he noticed his sister running full speed at the water, with fire after her. Ignoring Zeus for a moment, Ryo took a deep breath and sent a hydro pump attack back at the flame.

Miyuki, who was trying to keep up with the pace of the battle (honestly the Pokemon were smart enough to not need her or Andarien), backed up because she quickly released dangerous steam was going to happen.

Andarien was simply watching the battle in fascination, but Shoneah yanked him back away from the steam.

The heat of the steam was nothing to Dash, though his mane, tail and fetlock flames were dampened by it, and he simply charged through it, trusting to his speed to catch him up to Suki quickly.

Zeus however repeated the move that had already proven so effective, Wild Charge, slamming his electricity-saturated body against Ryo with all his strength.

Ryo cried out in pain, after all he was a water type now and Zeus' electricity was bad for him. Miyuki saw this, and the fact Dash didn't at all seem affected by the water told her it was a lost cause. Suki would end up fighting two on one and she was clearly over powered. Much of her attacks only dampened but didn't really stop them, whereas she was scorched and having to run away because she knew better.

"Enough!" Miyuki called out, "I forfeit!"

It was a bad pairing, even though Zeus and Dash didn't work together that often, clearly they were far stronger than Suki and Ryo (well the latter wasn't surprising). She would have to work with them both more often.

Dash and Zeus didn't need to be told to stop: even before Andarien called them back to him, they turned away from the water. Though the water hadn't had a visible effect on Dash, his steps were slow and plodding as he made his way back to his master, and his head hung low.

"Is Ryo okay?" Andarien asked, running forward to check his own Pokemon. He ran a hand over Dash's body, though he knew the Rapidash hadn't taken any physical hits.

Shoneah was right beside him, though when he stopped to check out Dash, she kept going towards the others. "What is he now?" she asked curiously, eying the newly evolved Pokemon. "He's different from all the others ..."

Miyuki studied Ryo, and Ryo climbed into her arms wanting to be picked up. She couldn't blame him, sometimes evolving could give Pokemon the charge they needed to go on, but other times it was tiring, and he had to face Zeus.

"He's is a Vaporeon, a water type Pokemon, so he really didn't do well with the last attack, being in water didn't help matters much," Miyuki murmured.

He looked like he had electric burns, but they would heal pretty quickly with time and care.

Shoneah reached over to pet Ryo on the head. "Poor little guy," she murmured with a gentle smile.

Andarien was satisfied that Dash was all right, but just in case, he told him to Rest and then recalled him into his Pokeball. Zeus hadn't taken any hits, aside from a light dusting of the Fairy Wind, so he didn't bother getting the Jolteon to Rest.

"Maybe you should give him some berries, just in case," he suggested to his sister.

Shoneah wasn't the only one who was curious about Ryo - in fact, in Killian's case, he was flabbergasted by the whole event. He had come up behind Miyuki now, and was staring openly at the Vaporeon in her arms. "What was that all about?" he asked, shocked.

"The battle or the evolution?" Miyuki asked in amusement as she took Ryo to dry land.

She fortunately kept a small bag of berries on a belt like accessory around her waist. As she sat down she fed a few of them to Ryo.

"All of it," Killian replied without hesitation, following Miyuki out of the water. "I- I've never seen or heard of anything like that before! I mean, creatures that can create wind and water and fire and lightning - to control the elements - and change - and - and -"

Shoneah laughed. She remembered her first reaction to seeing the Pokemons' abilities, but that didn't stop her from being amused by the Water Elf's reaction.

"I have to admit," she grinned, "I never thought I'd ever see you speechless."

"You came close when you brushed him off earlier," Rose pointed out with a giggle. She and Geran had also approached to check out the Pokemon, since neither of them had seen them battle or change before.

Miyuki chuckled, "I do admit, I'm so use to them I don't think about it really."

Then again they were such a staple in Gaia, that really, why would she think about it at all?

"They are quite unique here," Miyuki admitted as she pet Ryo.

Ryo seemed to rumble at this, and quite content.

"Suki, let me get a look at you as well," Miyuki motioned for her other Pokemon.

Ryo was worse off, so she hadn't looked at Suki yet. Suki just bounced on over, despite having been in a fierce battle. She wasn't as badly hurt and in fact was just as happy to be out and about. In fact, it seemed Suki was more amused by Killian and the moment Miyuki gave her the go ahead, the pink Pokemon pranced over to Killian and began to bounce around him instead.

Killian didn't seem to know what to do about Suki, which amused everyone.

"They're called Pokemon," Andarien explained, since Miyuki hadn't. "Sometimes they hatch from eggs and sometimes they're born, and as they grow and learn they change their form. Dash wasn't always a Rapidash, like a unicorn or whatever. He used to be a Ponyta, like a horse, kinda."

He gestured towards Zeus, Eon, Suki, Yasu, Ryo and Ai. "And they all used to be Eevees, except they evolved when they got around other things. Kaede, too, I gave her to our cousin Amir, but she used to be an Eevee, too, 'til she evolved. Anyways, Nana and Ada got Ai and Eon and Dash for us so we would be protected while we travel, on account of it's so dangerous. And then Ai had a bunch of baby Eevees and that's where the rest came from."

Suki stopped in front of Killian and waved her ribbons at him.

"Ai and Eon are a mating pair," Miyuki explained in case Killian thought that Ai got pregnant on her own, "And Suki wants you to shake her ribbons, you know... like you would shake someone's hand."

Suki seemed to smile and make her ribbons look like a heart over her head.

"Or she's just messing with you.... she might be doing that..."

Killian looked like he was having some trouble taking it all in, and he held one hand out to Suki, almost in a daze; and even when she made the heart shape over her head, he just blinked at her uncomprehendingly.

Shoneah nudged Andarien. "Don't forget Ira," she reminded him.

"Huh? Oh, right!" Andarien beamed. "And Ira, he's Daenis's Glaceon. He used to be an Eevee, too."

Eon in the meanwhile, perhaps has if making a point, skipped over to his mate and nuzzled her cheek.

"Do they always change into something so very different?" Killian asked, finding his tongue at last. "I mean ... none of them look anything like this one used to." He gestured towards Ryo.

Suki used one ribbon to grab Killian's hand. It was soft like a furry ribbon, but it had a form to it to allow her to shake, even though there weren't any bones in that ribbon.

"I think it more has to do with the fact we have traveled to so many different environments, like Ryo was in the water when he evolved so that probably has a lot to do with his form," Miyuki explained, "Eevees are unique in that there are many variations they can evolve into, but what they do evolve into is dependent on their environment. The only exception is Ai and Eon, their forms were directed by stones they wore on collars, but I'd imagine naturally they might be a bit rare, as their evolution are depended on the time of day, which means other environment factors have to not affected them first."

Killian nodded, though he wasn't entirely sure how much of the explanation he understood.

"Fascinating," he murmured, looking at the ribbon that was shaking his hand. His eyes flickered to Xipil, in Shoneah's arms. "And that one?"

Shoneah laughed. "Not a Pokemon. Volcano dragon, native to this world."

Killian blinked again. "This world? As in ... there's another?"

Andarien grinned as if it were the most unremarkable thing in the world. "Of course there is!" he beamed. "That's where we're all from! Well, some of us, anyways. And our Pokemon."

Miyuki chuckled at this, because they all took that piece of information for granted at times.

"There's another world that seems to be connected to this one called Gaia. Andarien, Silverbirch, Holly, Eron, Shiro, Kaito, our mother and myself are originally from that world. So are the Pokemon, and there's at least one winged cat, but she's such a house cat that most of the time she's in the tent."

Killian shook his head in amazement. "And suddenly, so much is explained," he murmured to himself. He looked back at Shoneah and Andarien. "And you two ... you met there, then? I mean, if you're both from there, and you're both here ..."

Shoneah smiled. "No. Andarien and his family are traveling this world, and I fell through a tear in the worlds ... a whole, if you will, between the worlds, connecting them. I was told that if there were a way for me to return home, I would have the best chance at finding it in Caras Galadhon. I was recommended to find Kyrie as a guide. She was already leading this group - those who were part of it at the time, anyways - and I was invited to join them."

"So ..." Killian hesitated, glanced at Andarien, and then looked back at Shoneah. "You ... are you planning on going back to your family?"

Now it was Shoneah's turn to hesitate, and she also looked at Andarien; though unlike Killian, her gaze lingered. "Well ... let's just say, I'm no longer in any rush." She smiled at Killian again.

Miyuki chuckled, a bit tempted to ask what he thought before all of this.

However, she would also rather Kyrie arrive soon because even with Killian being a bit better, it was a bit tiring to keep up with him (or deal with him).

"I'm really excited to meet Shoneah's family," Andarien grinned at Killian. "It probably will be a while but the way she talks about them makes me want to meet them."

Shoneah looked at him, her face etched with surprise. "Really?"

He blinked at her. "Well ... yeah! I mean ... it's not like ... like if ... well ... well, you already know my family, so it's only fair that I get to know yours!"

As the two got distracted in their own discussion, Kyrie appeared suddenly behind them, a large jungle fowl in her hands. "Well, well," she murmured with a smile when she saw Killian with the others. "We were wondering when you might show up."
